As a member of the eSmart committee at Thomas Mitchell Primary School, I am working together with my colleagues to plan and implement a whole-school system to cybersafety and wellbeing. Working with colleagues, parents and students has been an integral part of the planning and implementing of our eSmart policy and approach to the safe, smart and responsible use of information and communication technology.
Excursions
Alongside parents and teachers I have accompanied and supervised numerous excursions and school visits. These include visits to Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Australian Botanical Gardens, Jells Park and Casey Safety Village.
These excursions and school visits have complemented the curriculum and have allowed students to discover and consolidate their knowledge of the learning concept. Living things can be grouped on the basis of observable features and can be distinguished from non-living things (ACSSU044)
'Narelle had an opportunity to accompany us to our Grade 3 Zoo excursion! She was very professional and fully involved in supervising her small group. I really appreciate her help for our excursion!'
